USA Road Trip

We picked up the RV in Durham, North Carolina, and headed for the Great Smoky Mountains, which rise along the Tennessee-North Carolina border.

We drove across Tennessee to Nashville, and after a night there, headed up into Kentucky, stopping off at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.

Of course no trip to Kentucky would be complete without a visit to the original KFC, from where we headed to the Cumberland Falls.

Next we spent a couple of nights in the Red River Gorge area of Eastern Kentucky, exploring some of the amazing sandstone arches.

Our next stay was in the New River Gorge in West Virginia, after which we headed back to North Carolina to drop off the RV, stopping off in Virginia on the way.

A weekend visiting some of the sights in Anglesey with Pav and Vikas.

We went to Morzine in the French Alps for a couple of nights, staying with Phil and Caroline who are spending eight months living out there.

We walked quite a few miles while we were there, fortunately the weather was good.

We went down to Billingshurst for lunch at the Bat and Ball for Lisa's 50th - her and Billy are living and working on the campsite there for the season.

Kirstie and me went up Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station. It's named after the height in meters of the chimney that it's in.
