It was great to have a full house at Christmas. Charlie and Tünde came over from Hungary, with Andrew and Sue making the shorter hop from Feering.

Colin and Margaret came to stay with us for a few days after Christmas. During their visit we all took in the Christmas at Kew event.

I arrived in Shanghai, and spent a day and a half looking round, meeting Rob who was there playing in a touch rugby tournament.

The temple is right in the middle of Shanghai.

We got the high speed train from Shanghai to Nanjing, and I stayed at Rob and Ange's for another couple of days before heading home.

On our return to Villa Borgo Taverne, the place was just as we remembered it from four years previously.

We didn't always have the best weather during our summer trip to Rhoscolyn, but managed to fit in plenty of walks, including one along the 1.7 mile length of the Holyhead Breakwater, and back again.

The drone and aerobie both saw a fair bit of action.

A week in Anglesey with my parents and Charlie and Tünde. The photos in this gallery were all taken on the headland between Rhoscolyn and Silver Bay.

Sunset at the chair; and as usual the boat saw plenty of action.

We went up South Stack lighthouse. Despite going up and down the steps on the cliff there countless times over the years, it was actually the first time I'd ever actually been inside.

San Sebastián

Kirstie and I got away for a weekend in San Sebastián to see the sites and to sample the local cuisine.

A week in Anglesey with Katy, Mark and family. Mark's brother James and Sophie were up on Easter Sunday.

We walked to North Stack on a very foggy day.

We spent plenty of time on the beach and nearby headlands.

The sun was shining when we headed to Snowdonia and walked to the Idwal Slabs for a spot of climbing.

Edinburgh

We had a great few days visiting Edinburgh during February half-term.

A highlight of the trip was the Game Masters retro video games exhibition at the Museum of Scotland, and we also managed to take in most of the other major sights.
