Photos from our wedding - it was a small family occasion, with the ceremony and reception being held in a manor house near to where we both grew up.

Even though it was still winter the sun shone, capping a special day all round.

Melbourne

We flew into Melbourne, and drove West around 370km along the Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool. From there we drove inland to the Grampian National Park and spent some time in the mountains there, before heading back via Ballarat.

On our way into Melbourne we stopped off at Gembrook where we saw Jack, an early childhood friend of mine whose family emigrated to Australia in the 70s. We then had a few days in the city, which we mostly spent at the Australian Grand Prix, catching up with Jason and Gayle in the evenings.

Queensland

We spent a few days staying at the Cleopatra Guest House in the Blue Mountains, a few hours from Sydney, and explored the local area.

After the Blue Mountains we headed to Whale Beach, north of Sydney, where we spent a night at the hotel Jonah's. Then it was down to Wollongong to catch up with Jack's parents, before moving on to Sydney itself. We were there for three nights, and spent some time with Kirstie's friend Gaby, who had moved out a few years prior.

Our final five days were spent in Queensland, where we flew into Brisbane before driving north to Noosa, where we spent most of our time swimming and on the beach. We also had a couple of days exploring Fraser Island, which has no proper roads making a 4WD essential.
