We flew from Copenhagen and back again in Air Greenland's A330
Greenland's East coast from 30,000ft - the icebergs here must be massive
Calving from the ice sheet
Glacial flows can easily be seen at the edge of the ice sheet
Coming in to land at Nuuk we flew down the Nuuk Fjord
A frozen tarn
It was weird flying between mountains in such a large plane
We were just below the peaks
This was the Royal Danish Navy, not the Americans
Glaciers spilling into a valley - on the West coast as we later flew up from Nuuk to Ilulissat
We had a refuelling stop at Aasiaat - it's a small one room terminal, arrivals is the door on the right, and departures the door on the left
All of the internal flights in Greenland are in one of their eight Dash 8s - there are no roads at all between towns
The Aasilat to Ilulissat leg took us over Disko Bay and we saw many icebergs
Cloud on the windward side
Cliffs and a tower
A standalone tower
Its amazing that 90% is underwater
Coming in to Ilulissat
These icebergs are at the mouth of the Ilulissat Icefjord
It's an incredible sight
